Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 26, 2026

Insignia Screen Printing ("we," "us," "our") operates this website and online ordering platform at insignia.ink. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect from you, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using our site you agree to this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Information you give us

  • Contact information: name, email address, phone number, and (if relevant) company name.
  • Order details: products, quantities, sizes, colors, decoration types, artwork files, mockup approvals, and notes you add to your order.
  • Shipping or delivery address for orders you ask us to ship.
  • Account credentials if you create a customer account — an email address and a password (the password is salted + hashed; we never see or store it in plain text).

Information we collect automatically

  • Usage data: pages visited, links clicked, session timing, and basic device information (browser type, screen size).
  • Cookies and similar technologies used by us and our service providers to keep you signed in, remember items in your cart, and measure how our ads perform (see Section 6).

Information from third parties

  • Payment information is collected and processed directly by Stripe, Inc. when you check out. We receive a payment confirmation and the last four digits of the card — we do not receive or store your full card number, expiration, or CVV.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Fulfill your order, communicate with you about it, and provide customer support.
  • Send you order confirmations, approval links, shipping updates, and (if you opt in) occasional marketing emails.
  • Improve the site, troubleshoot problems, and prevent fraud.
  • Comply with legal obligations (tax records, sales records).

3. Who We Share It With

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers we need to run the business:

  • Stripe — payment processing.
  • Google / Firebase — site hosting, database, and Cloud Functions.
  • SendGrid (or equivalent) — transactional email delivery.
  • Meta / Google — only aggregated, hashed conversion data via their advertising pixels (see Section 6).
  • Shipping carriers (e.g., USPS, UPS, FedEx) when we ship physical orders.

We may also disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.

4. How We Protect Your Information

  • All data in transit is encrypted with HTTPS (TLS).
  • Data at rest is stored in Google Cloud Firestore and Google Cloud Storage, which use AES-256 encryption.
  • Passwords are hashed with bcrypt (a one-way cryptographic function) — we cannot recover them and neither can an attacker who somehow obtained the database.
  • Access to customer data is restricted to authorized Insignia staff and is logged.
  • Payment card details never touch our servers — Stripe handles them in PCI-compliant infrastructure.

No system is perfectly secure. If we ever experience a data breach affecting your information, we will notify you and the appropriate regulators as required by law.

5. How Long We Keep It

We retain order records for as long as is necessary to provide our services, resolve disputes, and meet tax and accounting requirements (generally 7 years). Customer account information is kept until you ask us to delete it.

6. Cookies, Pixels, and Advertising

We use cookies and similar technologies for three purposes:

  • Essential — to keep you signed in, remember your cart, and process payments. These cannot be turned off without breaking the site.
  • Analytics — to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it.
  • Advertising — Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and Google may set cookies to measure the effectiveness of our ads and to show you relevant ads on their platforms. Personal data sent to them is hashed before transmission. You can opt out at facebook.com/about/ads and adssettings.google.com.

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you live (California, Colorado, Virginia, the EU/UK, and others), you may have the right to:

  • Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct or delete it.
  • Opt out of marketing communications (every email has an unsubscribe link).
  • Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information — we don't sell it, but you can confirm that with us at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@insigniasp.com with the subject line "Privacy Request."

8. Children

Our site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you by email.
